At Istrian Apartments Koper, your pets are welcome!
Even your four-legged friends deserve a holiday! We understand that more and more guests wish to travel with their pets and that it can sometimes be difficult to find suitable care for them. That’s why we are happy to welcome pets (dogs of small to medium size) in our apartments.
Since different guests vacation in the surrounding area, and to ensure the comfort and safety of all, we kindly ask that you follow the Pet Policy below:
- Pets must be announced in advance.
- Animals must be on a leash or in a carrier when in the shared areas of the apartment or residential building.
- We accept dogs up to 30 kg (small to medium-sized breeds – guide dogs are exempt) for an additional fee of €10 per day. Guide dogs stay free of charge. Prices may change without prior notice. Requests to stay with other types of pets must be made in advance by email to: info@istrianapartments.si.
- For safety reasons, pets may not be left alone or unsupervised in the apartment, as staff may need to enter the room in case of emergency.
- Pets must be house-trained – we reserve the right to charge for any additional cleaning if the pet relieves itself inside the apartment.
- Pets are not allowed to sleep on beds, sofas, or other furniture.
- The owner is liable for any damage caused by the pet, including material damage and bodily injury.
- Please respect the presence of other guests and minimize any noise your pet may cause. In the event of disturbance, a warning will be issued.
- Please keep public areas clean and hygienic.
- We reserve the right to charge a €100 fee for unregistered pets.
- Pets are not allowed in the Istrian Lux Residence apartment.
- Dog beach at the end of the Semedela promenade.
- Dog beach at the end of the new seaside park in Žusterna.
- On the rocky shore (breakwater) between Koper and Izola, where there is also a dog water fountain.
When visiting beaches, please ensure cleanliness and safety – pick up after your dog and make sure they don’t disturb other visitors.
Dogs are not allowed on beaches where a sign indicates they are not welcome.
Entry is prohibited for dogs at the following beaches:
- Žusterna bathing area
- Koper city beach
- Debeli rtič Ankaran – Punta Grossa Ankaran
- Simon’s Bay beach
- Beach by the Lighthouse in Izola
- Maintained beach in Strunjan
- Main beach in Portorož
- Hotel beaches in Portorož
- Fiesa beach
- Piran city beach
